Covid Blessings - Forward

This entire year I have felt like I have been trying to dig myself out as fast as I can. It’s like one of those dreams where you keep trying to run to the end of the hall or the street but you can never quite get there. It has been an exhausting marathon, but it has also, strangely, been an amazing one. Full of what I call Covid Blessings.

Every time I explain Covid blessings to someone they totally get it. It can sometimes be something that we discovered about ourselves. A new hobby. A new goal met. Time with your family - it all depends on the person. But it's always something crazy or unusual that has happened, that would have never happened if it wasn’t for Covid. Before we start- I need to make sure you understand me in two ways.Things I’ve learned about myself during Covid:

  1. Keeping me home is like caging an animal.

  2. I am Democrat or a Republican depending on the question- but mostly... I’m a critical thinker.

  3. I have been told I need to work on my empathy.

  4. Absolutely everything entertains me. I will explain more later.

Things you should know about me:

  1. I work every single day. Not so much because I have to, but because I fucking love it

  2. I cuss a lot.

  3. I usually have no idea what I’m doing- but I also lack the fear of being wrong, so I just keep going until I get it right.

  4. I watch at least 5 hours of TV. I will go from Kardashians, to CNBC, to HGTV, to Law and Order, History Channel, then right back to the Housewives in the same sitting.

  5. I’m married to a black man, have a gay daughter, a Japanese mother, and I’m a Latina Woman.  No... I didn’t plan on having the best excuses to make whatever jokes I want- I’m just lucky like that.

  6. I will quickly BFF anyone over food, memes, or ways to embarrass our children. And believe me- I am always taking applications!

  7. If you want to understand more on how I became this person, or if you just really want a good laugh and easy read - you will want to check out MY LIFE STORY.

Huh.... Now I understand why there is always a FORWARD in books.Ok - let's begin...
